Having just read the townsite survey results and then the blurb regarding the port bouvard pullout of future land aquisitions. what does this all mean.
i think the survey results were as expected and probably not what P B wanted to hear .
BUt what about PB's news where does this leave the propsed development does it mean that its no longer on the cards or that it will take a much smaller form . I was so looking forward to the massive increase in our population with the industrial area and the congestion and pollution and crime and the environmental impacts. What about the community how can we possibly go on without the gentle guiding hand of port bouvard. and the wonderfull contribution of their thoughtfull and caring consultants. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

So it is definite? What does it mean? No development, lesser development. The letter seemed to say that it was all over, but there are tens of millions of dollars worth of land still sitting there, AFAIK owned by PB.

The land has all reverted to Michael Coleman - will probably/possibly be zoned Urban and the ball game is not over.

New Planning document from the DPI should be out early August (delayed nearly a year) and then everyone gets their chance for comment again.

The Survey was a pretty powerful comment from a lot of people in Gidge so let's hope that's taken into consideration.

Thanks for the reply.

Oh. Not so good. Urban.

Survey..I bet the scheme will be to just keep asking until the "right" answer is given?
